no more audible
GDLP
have you also been stuck on Audible for ages ?? it is one task i kept forgetting to sort, and then I’d get another credit and stick around to use it – oh wait, another credit – and that just went on forever. But recently a pal on discord sent a referral link to join Libro and I finally made the move.
I’ve joined Libro because it allows you to buy an audiobook via an independent bookshop of your choice (I’ve chosen Pritchards here in Liverpool) and if I’m happy to have an audiobook subscription I’d like a cut of that money to go to an indie bookshop. amazon have enough.
– also audible is 8.99/month and libro is 7.99/month – it’s got everything i wanna listen to – and you actually own your audiobooks, you’re not just renting them
PLUS it was a really good joining deal too because not only did she get a free book but I got three? So I listened to ‘I Who Have Never Known Men’ and reviewed that last week, and I’ve got Martyr! on the go now (and Orbital to come).
you know all those books I review?? there is a 90% chance I listened to the audiobook instead of reading the physical book because I knit! and the knitting/listening combo is peace on earth. I am knitting the dress for a toy sheep at the moment. i think it is too nice to give to any of the children in my life haha. it has a Qing fibre dress
anyway im only sorry i didn’t move sooner
